Dr. Ronit Meroz
Brief Biography

Dr. Ronit Meroz is a professor of Jewish philosophy and mysticism at The Tel Aviv University, where she was chair of her department.   She has written The Pearl, the Matza and the Fish: The Spiritual Biography of Rashbi and The Original Structure of the Book of Zohar, which will be published in Hebrew through Mossad Bialik.  This forthcoming publication is an outgrowth of a major project she undertook on The Zohar that was funded by the Israel Science Foundation, for which she located more than 650 Zohar manuscripts and stored the accumulated information in a computer database that was developed specifically for this project, along with a sophisticated data retrieval program.
